Quality of rural life during the Covid-19 pandemic. Case study: Sedayulawas Village, Lamongan Regency, Java, Indonesia Quality of life measures how happy someone is with their life based on what they think a good life is. Quality of life is dependent on where one stays, which can be at the micro-level (village, small town, city quarter), the meso-level (big city, urban agglomeration, district, region), or the macro-level (state, continent). The study aims to quantify the quality of life in the Sedayulawas village, Brondong District, Lamongan Regency of Indonesia, covering 479 members of the village community.To calculate the quality of rural life in Sedayulawas Village, the study employed a modelling framework with partial least squares structural equation modelling to model the relationship between quality of life and income after the results of the quality of life were obtained. The studyʼs findings, specifically in the health and safety domain, demonstrate that income has no discernible impact on quality of life indicators. The need to provide political authorities with valid data for public policy planning in rural areas of the island of Java requires repeating the research focused on the young residents of Sedayulawas Village. Instead of depending on capital assistance, policymakers should educate farmers more about the current market structure, enabling them to create social resources and develop markets independently.

Amidst the rapid evolution of digital technologies and their prospective implications for agricultural productivity, farmers are increasingly turning to Agriculture 4.0. As digitization permeates every facet of agriculture, the potential for boosting productivity while ensuring sustainability and resilience becomes increasingly tangible. The objective of this study is to understand how the adoption of digital technologies influences agricultural productivity within the diverse socioeconomic and agricultural landscapes of EU nations. The research of this study aims to address questions concerning the impact of digital technology use on agricultural productivity across EU countries. This study employs a robust analytical framework combining equation modeling (SEM), artificial neural networks, and cluster analysis. SEM analysis reveals significant associations and influences between digital technology use and productivity related to the total labor force across EU countries. Moreover, cluster analysis outlines distinct clusters of EU member states distinguished by varying degrees of digital technology incorporation and corresponding agricultural productivity, emphasizing the diverse socioeconomic contexts that influence these associations. These findings underscore the significance of embracing digital technology as a catalyst for enhancing agricultural productivity across EU nations. Future research could focus on devising strategies to promote the widespread adoption of digital technologies in agriculture across EU member states, and longitudinal analyses could offer insights into the dynamic relationship between digital technology use and agricultural output, informing policy interventions.

Social capital is a key element in sustainable development and natural resource management. In the context of clean water management, an in-depth understanding of social capital can reveal the dynamics of social interactions between individuals and groups in the community. Social capital includes aspects of trust, social networks, and social norms that shape the way people interact and cooperate. This research aims to evaluate the condition of community social capital in utilizing clean water in Pagak District through SEM-PLS analysis. A questionnaire survey was conducted on 267 households, distributed proportionately in each village in Pagak District. The research results show that most of the factors studied reflect the condition of social capital. However, there are several factors that were considered immaterial and were removed from the analysis model. These factors include trust in individuals with different ethnic or cultural backgrounds, cultural activities in the village, and payment of water source maintenance fees. This research emphasizes the need for a holistic and collaborative research approach to understand the social capital of village communities in the context of clean water management, involving various scientific disciplines and stakeholders.
