Abstract: This study introduces a novel concrete-filled tube (CFT) column system featuring a steel tube comprised of four internal triangular units. The incorporation of these internal triangular units serves to reduce the width-thickness ratio of the steel tube and augment the effective confinement area of the infilled concrete.
