Structure and mesoscale plastic deformation and fracture patterns of materials coated by electron‐beam deposition

Abstract: Electron‐beam deposition (EBD) is an advanced technique intended for the formation of protective coatings that exhibit high strength and wear, and fatigue resistance. The investigation of the structure of coated materials and the development of mesoscale plastic deformation shows that these properties depend heavily on EBD modes.
