Impact of analysis interval size on the quality of optical frequency domain imaging assessments of stent implantation for lesions of the superficial femoral artery

“…The main findings of this study are as follows: (1) using larger analysis intervals affected MLA and MSA parameters significantly in cross‐sectional OFDI analysis of stent implantations for SFA lesions, (2) good agreement was observed between volumetric OFDI parameters obtained using different analysis intervals, and (3) strut‐level OFDI analysis may be less susceptible to high variability induced by using larger intervals. Although several reports have shown the efficacy of OCT or OFDI assessments in peripheral arteries , no consensus or validating data are available with respect to the actual methodology. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first study to investigate the influence of the size of the analysis intervals on the quality of the OFDI assessment in peripheral artery lesions.…”
