Abstract

Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering Doctor of Philosophy Strut Fuel Injector Penetration and Mixing Enhancement for a Dual-mode Scramjet by Maxwell J. DePiro To meet the needs of future high-speed, air-breathing aerospace applications, largescale dual-mode scramjet engines are being developed. These engines tend to have large combustor cross sections where flush wall injectors are not adequate for delivering the fuel v vi fearless grasp on life and the pursuit of happiness inspires me to see past the immediate obstacles and focus on what I want or need to fulfill.
