The experiment entitled "Association analysis in bold seeded and early maturing genotypes of linseed (Linum usitatissimum)" was conducted at Research cum Instruction farm, Department of Genetics and Plant Breeding, IGKV, Raipur, CG during Rabi 2022-23. The experiment was carried out in RCBD involving 32 early and 26 bold seeded genotypes of Linseed, including 5 check varieties with three replications. For 12 quantitative characters, observations were made on five competing plants that were chosen at random from each plot and replication. In early maturing and bold-seeded flax varieties, an analysis of correlations revealed significant and positive associations between seed yield/plant and several factors including plant height, the no. of seeds/capsule, 1000 seed weight, capsule length, capsule width, days to 50% flowering, and days to maturity. This suggests that an increase in one variable would likely result in an increase in another. The outcomes of a path coefficient analysis, considering seed yield/plant as the dependent variable, demonstrated that the no. of primary branches/plant, plant height, days to maturity, 1000 seed weight, and capsule length exhibited the most substantial positive direct effects. Direct selection for these attributes could potentially enhance yield due to their genuine relationship with seed yield and other traits being highlighted.

The studies were carried out at the Institute of Oilseed Crops of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine in 2019/2020. The material of the study was interspecific hybrids of the second generation obtained in the system of dialel crosses with the participation of two wild annual homostylic species L. angustifolium and L. hispanicum with n = 15 and three accessions of cultivated flax: L 5 (Czech Republic), L 6 (India), M 32/2 (Ukraine). Correlation analysis of habitus traits of a flax plant with the number of bolls was carried out. As a result of studies between the height of the plant and the number of stems on the plant, there is no relationship; between the height of the plant with the number of lateral shoots and the number of bolls, weak and medium correlations, and sometimes their absence, were established (r = +0.218…+0.559; r = +0.253…+0.698, respectively). Medium and strong correlations were found between the number of stems on a plant with the number of side shoots and the number of bolls (r = +0.334…+0.892; r = +0.482…+0.818). Exceptionally strong and stable over the years correlations were observed between the number of lateral shoots on the plant and the number of bolls (r = +0.700…+0.922). The main trait of the habitus of a flax plant, which significantly affects the number of bolls on them, is the number of lateral shoots. This trait can be used as a reliable criterion for selecting plants for breeding for high seed productivity.

Rational design of a molecular sensing tool is an important topic in molecular recognition, signalling, and optoelectronics that has piqued the interest of chemists, biologists, and environmental scientists. Approximately 150 years have passed since the beginning of the fluorescent chemosensor sector. Due to the paramagnetic properties of Cr3+ and Al3+, it is tough to prepare a photoluminescence plug‐in detector. Most dye‐based Al3+ sensors must be utilized in organic or mixed solvents for robust hydration of Al3+ in water. The sophisticated molecular design of sensors, conversely, allows for the detection of these metal ions in aqueous medium. The design of chemosensors using various fluorophores and their mechanisms of action have been thoroughly discussed. A literature survey covering the design of chemosensors and their mechanisms of action have been thoroughly discussed covering the period 2010–2022 and that was carried out including innovative and exemplary activities from numerous groups throughout the world that have significantly contributed to this sector. The most important advantages of these probes are their aqueous solubility and quick response with outstanding selectivity and sensitivity for temporal distribution with high fidelity of metals in living cells.
