Study of a Microsatelite Hinge Concept Using 3D Printed Prototypes

Abstract

The CubeSat microsatellites are structures that can be found in many applications of industry and educations, but not only. Based on this, a new concept Card‐Sat structure is used in the present study. For a better understanding of the functionality microstructure Card‐Sat, this paper aims to study the geometry of joints manufactured from plastic materials by using the FFF 3D printing method and assembling to identify the suitable joint for this type of structures.
