Abstract:MoS 2 nanostructures were prepared using the hydrothermal method by reacting ammonium heptamolybdate tetrahydrate ((NH 4 ) 6 Mo 7 O 24 4H 2 O) with citric acid monohydrate (C 6 H 8 O 7 H 2 O) in distilled water with the presence of sodium sulfide (Na 2 S). The surface structure studies of MoS 2 showed that the size of the surface clusters of the studied tablet is of the order of 50 -100 nm.
