Study on Modeling of the Consciousness, Behavior and Desired Information of Occupants in Relation to Energy Saving

Abstract: How much of energy saving effect is possible by residents' behavior must be important. But at least in Japan, it has not yet been made clear. Here in this research, we conducted a questionnaire survey on the residents' interests and lifestyle and thereby made the follow _ up analysis to figure out how the energy _ saving related consciousness, practice, and willingness are connected with each other. It has become clear that the information in relation to the problems to be solved or the willingness for making … Show more

“…e matrix element w (u, l) represents the distance between the two template elements m u and z l . Here, the Euclidean distance w(u, l) (m u − z l ) 2 is used; that is, the sequences m and z are single similarity between frames [16].…”

“…Solar power advocates could require such abilities as: comprehension of their and their scheme’s energy consumption (Abe et al , 2019); the availability to participate actively in OC decision making (Easthope, 2019); and personal connectedness, authority and credibility (Muhamad Ariff, 2018). …”

“…To begin with, they must perceive their knowledge to be sufficiently reliable and relevant to share with others (Kastner and Stern, 2015). They then need to be sufficiently knowledgeable about solar PV to be able to explain its benefits, in a manner that is both factually authoritative (Hugony et al, 2020) and mindful of the immediate concerns and priorities of fellow OC members (Abe et al, 2019). Such knowledge includes an awareness of not only their own energy consumption requirements but of the property's requirements as a whole (Altmann et al, 2018), including how installing and maintaining a solar PV system could affect residents' experience of the property (Puustinen et al, 2017).…”

“…Ideally, they would have joined the EC and thus become party to the OC's central decision-making processes (Easthope, 2019;Yau, 2018) and developed strong administrative and managerial skills (Ammar et al, 2012;Yau, 2018). They would be what Guilding et al (2015) describe as a "climate change champion", able to engage OC members at every stage of planning and implementation to ensure their contribution and support (Abe et al, 2019;Hugony et al, 2020).…”
