Abstract:Micropiles are widely adopted for reinforcing shallow foundations. A new type of topping micropile structure was proposed in this study. A certain length of the expansion section was added to the upper part of the micropile, which not only retained the cylindrical section of the micropile but also enhanced the limiting effect on the lateral displacement of the soil near the shallow foundation.
