Study on the stability of CH3NH3PbI3films and the effect of post-modification by aluminum oxide in all-solid-state hybrid solar cells

Abstract: Degradation of perovskite has been a big problem in all-solid-state perovskite solar cells, although many researchers mainly focus on the high efficiency of these solar cells. This paper studies the stability of CH 3 NH 3 PbI 3 films and finds that CH 3 NH 3 PbI 3 is sensitive to moisture. The degradation reaction is proposed according to UV-Vis spectra and XRD results. In order to improve the degradation of CH 3 NH 3 PbI 3 , we introduce aluminum oxide as a post-modification material into all-solid-state pero… Show more

“…[225] If the films are exposed to warm humid air with a water vapor content above 50% at room temperature, water condensation occurs, resulting in decomposition into HI (soluble in water), solid PbI 2 , and CH 3 NH 2 , either released as gas or dissolved in water. [32,226,227] In this instance, the process is irreversible and losses to device performance are observed.…”

“…The organo-metallic halides lack stability and improved materials are desireable. 11 Here we report results on inorganic halides, CsSn(X-Y) 3, (X and Y = halides) and show that they also have the potential to achieve high efficiency of photo-conversion.…”

“…[8][9][10][11] The instability of devices in operation conditions mainly comes from the degradation of perovskite materials. [12][13][14] Moisture, UV light, and temperature are susceptible to cause degradation of organic-inorganic perovskite.…”
