Study on the Stability Principle of Mechanical Structure of Roadway with Composite Roof

Abstract: With the typical composite roof roadway and roof fall accidents in the Guizhou Province of China as the research background, the expression of damage parameters of composite roof was deduced according to Weibull statistical distribution, generalized Hooke’s law and Mises yield criterion, and the influence of shape and scale parameters of Weibull on damage characteristic was discussed. Based on the infinite slab theory, the expressions of deflection and layer separation of each layer of the composite roof were … Show more

“…Affected by the formation age, the coal measure strata are mainly sedimentary strata, which determines the widespread existence of composite roof in the coal roadway. The composite roof coal roadway is subject to multiple dynamic pressure disturbances during the whole service period and is prone to uncoordinated deformation under multiple stresses or groundwater due to the large difference in rock properties [1][2][3]. It further induces stratification and even leads to overall roof rupture, support failure, and roof collapse, bringing a great challenge to roadway safety maintenance and control [4,5].…”

“…Because large deformation or flowing deformation of the surrounding rock can lead to the failure of the roadway and the working environment becomes unsafe, coal mining is not able to continue. Thus, numerous investigations on the stability control technology and support schemes of the surrounding rock of coal mine roadways were performed by researchers and engineers, and lots of beneficial correction theories and technologies were also proposed by them, such as full-stress anchoring technology and bolt support [10][11][12][13][14]. However, relatively few studies on hybrid full-space synergy technology and the application of bolts based on the orthogonal experimental method have been launched for the roadway optimization design of mining fields in deep soft rock.…”
