Abstract:Chemotherapy, the most widely used therapy in oncology, leads to the accumulation of reactive oxygen species, which often generates adverse effects in patients. To reduce the oxidative stress due to either the action of cytostatics or pathological tumour mechanisms, we analyzed the effectiveness of antioxidants.
