“…Lately, several simulations based on these fluids have been published [7,4,5,8,9], which have also been enforced by the availability of thermodynamic properties in database software such as REFPROP [10]. Brown [7] investigated eight HFO from a fundamental point of view concerning thermodynamic and transport property data of those fluids.…”

“…The fluids have been compared in terms of system efficiency of the ORC, concluding that some of the investigated HFO (R1234yf and R1225yeE) show better performance for low-grade heat between 120 C and 150 C than the state-of-the-art fluids R245fa and R134a. Le et al [8] provided a computerized analysis of low GWP working fluids such as R1234yf and R1234ze in a supercritical ORC and Yamada et al [9] studied the thermal efficiency of an ORC with R1234yf as a working fluid. Both aforementioned studies concluded that the analyzed fluids are potential replacements for the currently dominating refrigerants with high GWP due to good efficiency parameters.…”

“…Typically, a black box cycle analysis is employed; this black-box approach is advantageous because of its calculation speed. A broad selection of working fluids [14,[17][18][19][20][21] and cycle architectures [6,15,[22][23][24] can be investigated in an acceptable time-frame. This optimization approach is, however, limited, as it does not consider financial or technical constraints.…”

“…The inlet temperature pairs of heat carrier and condenser cooling fluid were (350 C, 62 C), (280 C, 62 C), (280 C, 15 C), (220 C, 15 C) and (150 C, 15 C). Yamada et al [20] also investigated the SCORC, TLC and TCORC for the working fluid R1234yf. In their simulations the heat carrier stream is however neglected.…”
