Abstract:To investigate the influence of plant types on the pollution removal efficiency of drinking water treatment residue (DWTR) based constructed wetlands, a pilot-scale experiment was constructed, and the adsorption mechanisms for phosphate (PO43--P) were investigated. The results demonstrated that regardless of plant types, the DWTRs-based constructed wetlands exhibited a high removal efficiency for PO43--P, but the contribution of plants in improving the adsorption rate was relatively negligible.
