Abstract:In the present study, the impact of the chemical mutagen, Ethyl methanesulfonate (EMS) was evaluated on the quantitative enhancement of sesquiterpene, flavonoids (Quercetin and Rutin) and Stigmasterol compound Elephantopus scaber. The leaves of E. scaber L. were used for the callus induction. MS basal medium supplemented with different hormone combinations of 2,4-D and BAP (1:1 ratio) was used.
