Abstract:Abstract. Radio-wave scattering in the interstellar plasma provides the means to circumvent the diffraction limit for earth-based instruments, and to image the emission regions of pulsars. For the past 25 years, observers have sought to exploit this fact to learn how pulsars shine. I review the techniques developed, and summarize measurements of size of emission regions of pulsars to date.
