Abstract: Idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) is a progressive interstitial pneumonia that has been shown to have an association with gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) possibly due to chronic micro-aspiration leading to remodeling of the lung parenchyma.
