Abstract:Acute appendicitis is the most common reason for emergency abdominal surgery worldwide. Nonacute appendicitis variants include recurrent, subacute, and chronic appendicitis. Although these are not considered surgical emergencies, they are frequently overlooked, resulting in complications such as perforation or abscess formation.
