Subacute Splenic Flexure Volvulus following Low Anterior Resection

Abstract: Splenic flexure volvulus is a rare cause of large bowel obstruction. Patients often present in a delayed fashion after the onset of peritonitis and require emergent surgical exploration. Here, we present a case of a subacute splenic flexure volvulus following previous low anterior resection and subsequent management.
