Abstract

A esquizofrenia é um transtorno psiquiátrico complexo, caracterizado por distorções do pensamento, da percepção de si e da realidade externa. É uma psicose crônica idiopática de início precoce, associada a uma série de sintomas e sinais como alucinações, apatia, isolamento social e até suicídio, acometendo cerca de 1% da população mundial. OBJETIVO: Revisar a literatura sobre os subtipos de esquizofrenia. METODOLOGIA: Realizou-se uma revisão integrativa da literatura com buscas nas bases de dados Lilacs e Medline.
