“…The methanol permeabilities of Non-S-coPI, S-coPI-1, S-coPI-2, and S-coPI-3, are 3.86 9 10 -8 , 5.85 9 10 -8 , 6.52 9 10 -8 , and 4.02 9 10 -8 cm 2 s -1 , respectively, which are much lower than that of Nafion 117 membrane (1.74 9 10 -6 cm 2 s -1 ). The previous work as reported by Li et al [18], all of NPI/SPP membrane systems attained the methanol permeability values in the range of 1.3-6.2 9 10 -7 cm 2 s -1 , which is about 10 times higher than ours. So, the S-coPI membrane in the present work is a suitable candidate for using as the proton exchange membrane.…”
