Sulfur-containing heterocyclic compounds with potential antidiabetic activity

Abstract: The essential link in the pathogenesis of diabetes mellitus and its complications is a non-enzymatic glycosylation of proteins. However, modern endocrinology lacks of clinically effective pharmaceuticals for its correction.
