Sum-Frequency Generation from Chiral Media and Interfaces

Abstract: Professor Yuen-Ron Shen, Co-chair Professor Richard J. Saykally, Co-chair Sum frequency generation (SFG), a second-order nonlinear optical process, is electric-dipole forbidden in systems with inversion symmetry.
