Willis James Professor of World Christianity at Yale University and the author of numerous books on religion, is concerned with Christianity and its relevance in the world today, particularly in the wake of its historical European tutelage. Born and raised a Muslim in Gambia, West Africa, he converted to Christianity and was educated in Britain and the US.
