Abstract:A superficial circumflex iliac perforator (SCIP) flap is gaining popularity in microsurgical free flap reconstruction, especially for extremity defects. However, its application in the head and neck region is still uncommon. Besides a thin, pliable skin paddle, the SCIP flap can be elevated with a part of the iliac bone.
