In superovulated ewes, although the regimen and dosage were different, GH treatment allowed the enhancement of the pool of gonadotrophin-responsive follicles present in the ovaries [ 29 ], increased the rates of fertilization and blastocyst development [ 19 ], and enhanced the proportion of transferable embryos [ 17 ].
