“…Rivero and Serna (2000) proposed R. pseudopalmatus as sister species of R. palmatus. However, Grant et al (2006) question the validity of morphological characters used to distinguish this species from R. palmatus and consider that both species could be conespecific given that the type locality of R. pseudopalmatus (Amalfi, Antioquia) lies within the known distribution of R. palmatus on the eastern slope of the Central Cordillera. Here, we assign our samples to R. pseudopalmatus according to Muñoz-Ortíz et al (2015) who suggested, based on molecular information, that this species could be redescribed restricting R. pseudopalmatus to the Central Cordillera and R. palmatus to the Eastern Cordillera.…”

“…This genus grouped cis-and transAndean of thenspecies. Based on the total evidence analysis, Grant (2006) to include only Group and exclude (Boulenger, 1884) and (Silverstone, 1976); the latter two species were placed in Zimmerman and Zimmerman, 1988. sensu Grant (2006Grant ( , 2017) is a trans-Andean taxon foothills of the western Andes of Colombia, Ecuador, northern Peru, and one isolated species of doubtful provenance from western Panama (Myers 1982, Jungfer 2017. Currently, the genus includes eight species: (Noble, 1921), (Barbour, 1909), E. Cisneros-Heredia and Yánez-Muñoz, 2011, (Funkhouser, 1956), (Coloma, 1995), (Peters, 1873), Mueses-Cisneros, Cepeda-Quilindo andMoreno-Quintero, 2008, and(Boulenger, 1899), two of which occur in Colombia Silverstone 1976, Mueses-Cisneros 2008.…”
