Supply Chain Disruption Risk Management with Blockchain: A Dynamic Literature Review

Abstract: The purpose of this review is to describe the landscape of scientific literature enriched by an author’s keyword analysis to develop and test blockchain’s capabilities for enhancing supply chain resilience in times of increased risk and uncertainty. This review adopts a dynamic quantitative bibliometric method called systematic literature network analysis (SLNA) to extract and analyze the papers. The procedure consists of two methods: a systematic literature review (SLR) and bibliometric network analysis (BNA)… Show more

“…Chain. Researchers in the paper [31] proposed a theoretical model to investigate the impact of blockchain on operational supply chain transparency and collaboration by establishing rapid trust between key partners involved in disaster relief supply chains. Collaboration enables stakeholders to work together, leads to productive and efficient real-time information exchange between partners, and provides many benefits such as increased transparency, flexibility, and reduced lead-time, as well as helping to improve supply chain resilience.…”

“…While transparency technology has received little attention in prior research, and only one study has addressed this issue [99], the combination of visibility and transparency has been the subject of nine studies in the literature that was reviewed [98,[100][101][102][103][104][105][106][107]. Six studies examined the implementation of digitalization, visibility and transparency technologies in SC and the critical circumstances of COVID-19 [18,22,[108][109][110][111]. Smart-contact technology, on the other hand, is one of the areas of BC technology that has received some slight attention in the literature, resulting in only two studies [21,112].…”

“…• Availability: The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) defines availability as "ensuring timely and reliable access to and use of information" [64]. Cyberattacks start to impact availability of technology services with vulnerabilities, such as counterfeiting, theft, fraud, data manipulation, or falsification [65]. The DLT solution based on its decentralization and peer-to-peer characteristics makes it more difficult for criminals to disrupt.…”
