Benjamin Tukamuhabwa
et al.

Abstract: Purpose The purpose of this study is to empirically explore the influence of supply chain information integration (SCII) on supply chain innovativeness (SCI) and supply chain resilience (SCRE).Design/methodology/approach Data from 403 manufacturing companies in Uganda were analyzed using Analysis of Moments of Structures version 27. Unmeasured common latent factors were used to minimize the bias of common methods.Findings SCII, SCI and SCRE have significant positive relationships. About 41% of SCII and SCRE ar… Show more

“…Regarding ex ante analysis, data were carefully collected from respondents who possessed relevant knowledge in the subject area of SCRES (the procurement managers, logistics managers, supply chain managers and other staff members who are knowledgeable in supply chain operation). Also, we managed CMB by adapting measures from other scholars (Kock et al ., 2021; Muhwezi et al ., 2023). We avoided complex items and collected data from the same source, but at different times, and where three respondents filled the questionnaire, they will aggregate to represent one firm.…”

“…Though there is considerable literature on the concept of SCRES and its definitions (Ponomarov and Holcomb, 2009; Tukamuhabwa et al ., 2015; Chowdhury and Quaddus, 2016; Hosseini et al ., 2018; Golgecia and Kuivalainenb, 2020; Nikookar and Yanadori, 2022; Muhwezi et al ., 2023), many scholars seem to agree that SCRES is concerned with readiness, response and recovery from the disruption within the supply chains (Ponomarov and Holcomb, 2009; Tukamuhabwa et al ., 2015; Chowdhury and Quaddus, 2016; Golgecia and Kuivalainenb, 2020; Nikookar and Yanadori, 2022). Chowdhury and Quaddus (2016) conceptualized SCRES as the capability of a supply chain to prevent disruptions and to reduce the impact of disruptions through developing required level of readiness, quick response and recovery ability.…”
