“…Although research in Supply 4.0 is still in its infancy, scholars believe that Supply 4.0 will create considerable benefits to manufacturers [ 5 , 8 , 12 , 28 ]. However, it is also argued that to successfully implement Supply 4.0, it is imperative to thoroughly understand the evolution of traditional SCs to Supply 4.0 [ 66 ]. Frederico et al [ 5 ] argued that implementing Supply 4.0 requires two key enablers: capabilities and environment.…”

“…these benefits are gained through new technologies exploited within the SC, e.g. IoT makes SC management more efficient, Blockchain technology allows real-time tracking and improvement of passengers and goods throughout the SCM, CC assimilation promotes cooperation among SC members, etc [67]. In addition, Industry 4.0 itself helps industries integrate actions to protect and control the environment by converting supply chains to sustainable supply chains 4.0 [68], on condition that the I4.0 potential is understood through a successful adoption and diffusion of its new technologies [69].…”

“…While, Supply Chain 4.0 reorganizes supply networks at all levels-design, design, production, distribution, consumption, and reverse logistics-to create a more efficient and efficient supply chain. These technologies, which were first launched in the twenty-first century, are primarily used by high-revenue firms that are pioneers in supply chain management and at the forefront of innovation (Zekhnini et al, 2020, Ghobakhloo, 2020.…”

“…Manufacturing processes have begun to acquire scalable flexibility, from huge stocks to low speed and postponed product setup, offering maximum value for money with high levels of flexibility in combination with demand management methods. The effects of new technology on distinct supply chain processes are identified by (Zekhnini et al, 2020) that SC4.0 is an advanced framework with interconnected processes, from unconnected applications to a wide-ranging, coordinated and effective interaction between SC stages. There are several kinds of supply chain management processes and each contains several activities in these four categories: planning, procurement, production and delivery.…”
