Supply chain quality management impact on organization performance: results from an international survey

Abstract: PurposeIn this paper, Supply Chain Quality Management dimensions are empirically tested in order to understand their impact on the organization performance based on the Balanced Scorecard perspectives.Design/methodology/approachIn order to validate the theoretical model proposed, an empirical study was carried out, supported by a large-scale questionnaire and statistical analysis.FindingsResults show that all the Supply Chain Quality Management dimensions have a significant positive correlation in the four Bal… Show more

“…This empirical research, within a broader research project of an investigation into supply chain collaboration practices, involved a two-stage approach: (1) a comprehensive literature review for developing a conceptual framework of CE and (2) empirical testing of the proposed framework using data collected through a survey questionnaire, and analysis of survey data using comprehensive statistical analysis including hypotheses testing using correlation analysis and ANOVA tests. Several research studies (Fernandes et al, 2021;Bae, 2019) have used correlation analysis and ANOVA tests when testing relationships among factors and comparison of factors using empirical data. In this case, tools such as exploratory factor analysis and structural equation modelling (SEM) were not possible due to the nature of categorical data involved/collected in this research.…”

“…A theoretical model was developed and empirical research was conducted to examine the influence of SCQM aspects on organization performance based on a balanced scorecard viewpoint [41]. The results demonstrate that in the four balanced scorecard performance perspectives, all of the SCQM dimensions have a strong positive connection.…”

“…The authors of [34] believed that, as the manufacturing environment becomes highly competitive, these companies are dependent on their capacity to produce high quality products to survive. The authors of [35][36][37] highlighted QM's paramount roles, as it helps improve organizational efficacy, allows companies to keep up with the competition, encourages innovative processes, and enhances customer satisfaction. Respective empirical studies by [38][39][40] examined whether QM practices are correlated with successful energy performance and reported that QM's role is substantial in ensuring the energy management strategies' successes.…”
