Supply chain risk management: creating an agenda for future research

Abstract: Supply chains are becoming globalised and resulting complex interaction between supply chain actors and increasing interdependency between supply chain risks pose a real challenge in modelling and managing these risks. The purpose of this paper is to conduct a comprehensive review of literature in the field of 'supply chain risk management' and identify important research gaps for future research. We have adopted the method of 'systematic literature review' using text mining software and examined peer-reviewed… Show more

“…The primary risk factors in the supply chain include: customer relationship management and comprehensive customer service, demand management, effective implementation of logistics processes, correct functioning of logistics subsystems, product development, proper management of technology, optimal implementation of the strategy SSCM and the relationship of competition and external stakeholders (Sodhi and Lee, 2007). In addition, it should be emphasized that SCRM is not only an extremely important problem, but also the level of its complexity is steadily increasing (Qazi and Gaudenzi, 2016;Sodhi and Lee, 2007;Wieland and Wallenburg, 2012). The global scope of operations makes supply chains more complex, which leads to increased number of organizations that properly implement processes taking place in them (Tse and Tan, 2012).…”

“…[Ponomarov and Holcomb, (2009), p.131]. A central aspect of RSCM is its connection to supply chain risk management (SCRM) (Qazi and Gaudenzi, 2016). Some authors regard SC resilience as a core element of SCRM (Ponomarov and Holcomb, 2009;Dinh et al, 2012;Barroso et al, 2015).…”

“…, 2018). Although the importance of sustainability risk assessment within supply chain context is getting more important, research attention devoted to improving methodology in SMEs supply chain risk assessment approach are still scarce (Qazi and Gaudenzi, 2016), Vishnu et al. (2019) and Lima et al.…”
