Supply Demand Coordination for Building Energy Saving: Explore the Soft Comfort

Abstract: Due to the large amount of energy consumed in buildings, building energy savings has attracted more and more attention recently. The total energy consumed during building operations is determined by the building energy efficiency and the total demand. On the one hand, though most existing studies focus on improving building energy efficiency, there are limits. On the other hand, the demand grows fast and without limit. Therefore it is important to coordinate the supply and demand in buildings. We consider this… Show more

“…A case focused around a non specific 100 wind turbine 5-MW wind ranch is utilized to show the application of the model. Xu et al [24] considered this essential issue of cost in power supply in their stud. To begin with, the idea of normal cost of power is characterized to measure the normal generation expense of power utilizing different gadgets.…”

“…Over the years, the control of HVAC systems and the management of building energy systems have been extensively investigated via various methods including model predictive control (MPC) [4]- [7], mixed-integer linear programming (MILP) [8], [9], sequential quadratic programming (SQP) [10]- [12], intelligent control based on fuzzy logic or genetic algorithm [13]- [15], and rule-based methods [16], [17]. However, most of these methods are carried out in a centralized arXiv:1905.10934v1 [cs.SY] 21 May 2019 manner.…”
