Supporting children with a stoma in the school setting

Abstract: This article discusses children who have stomas going to school, their main anxieties, what affects their body image, the role of the paediatric stoma care nurse, the role of the school nurse and finishes off with a case study of a young boy with inflammatory bowel disease going to back to school after having formation of an ileostomy.
