The six best papers were awarded by The Japan Institute of Light Metals (JILM) and The Japan Society for Technology of Plasticity (JSTP) in Materials Transactions. Here, the awarded papers are briefly summarized as current trends in research of Materials Transactions. Among the six best papers, three were from JILM and the two of the three were selected for young scientists whose ages are 30 or below.
