“…On the basis of our previous study (Dueñas-Mas et al, 2022), SUPRASs were made up from solutions containing the amphiphile (either 1-hexanol or 1-decanol, 5% v/v), ethanol (10%, v/v) and water (85%, v/v). Mixtures were stirred for 5 min for extraction and centrifuged for 5 min at 2500 rpm to accelerate the phase separation.…”

“…The application of SUPRASs to materials has been more limited. Recently, we developed a fast qualitative screening method for the analysis of BPA and analogs with SUPRASs loaded into ASAP probes, which were put in contact with thermal paper samples for few seconds before ASAP analysis by using low resolution MS/MS (Dueñas-Mas et al, 2022). In the present study, we apply the SUPRAS treatment in a separate step that is simple and fast, in order to make quantitative analysis easier.…”

“…SUPRAS has mainly been applied for sample preparation and detection of trace substances, such as cadmium or bisphenols, in food and environmental samples [28,29]. However, they also have promising applications in the extraction of bioactive compounds from plants, especially because their safe and green properties are compatible with green fields such as food [30].…”

“…The bypass of the chromatographic separation can lead to faster analytical methods, increasing the number of samples that can be scrutinized. Different ambient ionization techniques have been proposed in these couplings, including direct analysis in real time, dielectric barrier desorption ionization, , atmospheric solids analysis probe, extractive-liquid sampling electron ionization mass spectrometry, or substrate spray ionization (SSI) . The latter technique is especially interesting due to its efficiency and simplicity.…”
