“…The peaks’ positions and their assignments are listed in Table 1 . The wider and lower-intensity beaks of the TNR-PES membrane in Figure 5 A were caused by the TiO 2 suppressing effect [ 35 , 36 , 37 , 38 ]. Meanwhile, Figure 5 B shows new function groups for PES/TNR-MWCNT, as assigned in Table 1 .…”

“…The raw MWCNT has also show the presence of C-O peak which may rose from the oxidation with the environment. The peak at 1680-1640 cm -1 (C=C stretch) and 1500-1400 cm -1 (C-C stretch) were the result of carbon hexagonal ring which indicated as the MWCNT characteristic vibration [12,13,14]. Large peak at the O-H stretching vibration was due to interference of water molecule in air during KBr pellet preparation or partially dried sample.…”

“…The process is repeated five times and the average of the readings is reported [39]. Figure 1A shows that increasing the nanomaterial percentage in the membrane results in lower contact angle readings, indicating that increasing the nanomaterial percentage increases hydrophilicity [40,41]. Pure-PES membranes have the largest contact angle and are the least hydrophilic.…”
