Abstract:Surface plasmon hybridization provides new perspectives for light manipulation at the nanoscale and related applications in nanophotonics. Multiple hybridization between metallic layers inside plasmonic nanocavities displays properties similar to atomic dressed states. In this Letter, we propose to numerically and analytically investigate the case of a multilayer structure composed of stacked metallic (M) and insulator (I) thin films. For a small number of MIM blocks, the system shows discrete hybridization sc… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
