Swarming and Aggregation in the Parasitic Diplomonad Flagellate Spironucleus vortens

Abstract: Pathogenicity, evolutionary history, and unusual cell organization of diplomonads are well known, particularly for Giardia and Spironucleus; however, behavior of these aerotolerant anaerobes is largely unknown.
