El descenso de la fecundidad en América Latina y el Caribe es un fenómeno inédito y extremadamente veloz. Hoy, numerosos países de la región tienen fecundidad bajo el nivel de reemplazo, incluyendo casos emblemáticos como el de Brasil. Aquí se debate desde qué marco conceptual se pueden comprender las diferentes medidas, programas o políticas que están surgiendo y surgirán en el futuro en relación a temas de fecundidad y familia. Además, se resumen e interpretan las experiencias de aquellos países en los que se han implementado políticas familiares en contexto de fecundidad bajo el reemplazo (concretamente, las políticas implementadas en Suecia, España y Francia) discutiendo de qué manera las experiencias europeas pueden resultar útiles para la formulación de políticas en América Latina. Para concluir, se enumeran las decisiones clave a tomar para el diseño de políticas familiares en contexto de baja fecundidad.Palabras clave: Fecundidad. Políticas familiares. Sweden has transformed into a considerable gender equality and family-friendly society over the past half-century.Meanwhile, Swedish involved fathers have been not only regarded as the role model in many countries, but also been the focus of extensive research. However, the trajectory trends of shifting practices on fatherhood in postmodern Sweden and the reasons underlying the whole gender equality reforms are still not clearly illustrated and explored. Therefore, this paper tries to answer these questions by reviewing related literature from 1960 to 2017. It is found that although dual-earner and dual-carer models were proposed together as early as the mid-1960s, it was the former that proved easier to achieve. Since 1990s substantial shifts in the practices on fatherhood have occurred in Sweden. Nowadays, it becomes quite nature and common for Swedish fathers to take parental leave and

In this chapter, we identify structural features of families with shared physical custody that differ from those of nuclear families or those of families where one parent has sole physical custody, and discuss the implications for family and kin relationships. We pay particular attention to the ways in which shared physical custody alters the gendered nature of parenting and kinship. We argue that the structural features of shared physical custody create distinct contexts for parent-child and sibling relationships and produce differences in shared understandings of obligations between family members. The unique context for relationships and obligations together constitute a new family form. Our analysis generates an agenda for future research on the nature and consequences of shared physical custody.
