Symbolic Execution and Reachability Analysis Using Rewriting Modulo SMT for Spatial Concurrent Constraint Systems with Extrusion

Abstract: Spatial concurrent constraint programming (SCCP) is an algebraic model of spatial modalities in constrained-based process calculi; it can be used to reason about spatial information distributed among the agents of a system. This work presents an executable rewriting logic semantics of SCCP with extrusion (i.e., process mobility) that uses rewriting modulo SMT, a novel technique that combines the power of term rewriting, matching algorithms, and SMT-solving. In this setting, constraints are encoded as formulas … Show more

“…Finally, in the realm of rewriting logic, some executable semantics in the Maude system have been proposed for CCP-based models. M. Romero and C. Rocha [42] present a symbolic rewriting logic semantics of the spatial modality of CCP with extrusion based on the work in [29,20]. More recently, M. Romero and C. Rocha [43] have proposed a symbolic rewriting logic semantics of the spatial modality of CCP with extrusion and real-timing behavior.…”
