Abstract:Background: Diagnostic criteria of Alzheimer’s disease (AD) and vascular cognitive impairment (VCI) describe different cognitive profiles. AD patients often have concomitant cerebrovascular disease (CVD) and these patients could therefore be expected to display symptoms of both AD and VCI.
