Abstract:Abstracl-This paper presents a preamble-based time and frequency synchronization algorithm for an NC-OFDM-based Cognitive Radio (CR) system. While keeping its computational complexity close to the commonly known, autocorrelation-based Schmidl&Cox algorithm, it is robust against narrowband inter ference (NBI), e.g. from Primary Users (PUs). Essentially, the proposed algorithm does not require to know any parameters of NBI. Simulations results confirm its usefulness even in the case of a real interference.

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
