Synchronous metastatic pure squamous cell carcinoma of the Gallbladder: A case report and review of literature

Abstract: Gallbladder cancer is an uncommon disease, comprising 1.2% of cancers in the world, with squamous cell pathology of the gallbladder being even more uncommon, making up 1-3% of those cases. When diagnosed, squamous cell carcinoma carries higher mortality when compared to all other pathologies in the gallbladder. The consensus on treatment of this cancer is inconclusive.
