“…A similar scenario is also observed in PbSe and PbS using the same methods, whose L‐ and Σ‐bands converge at 900 and 1000 K, respectively . The temperature of band convergence can also be estimated by the peak position in the measurement of Hall coefficient with temperature . The existence of a relevant second band in PbTe was indeed first found by the temperature dependent Hall measurement …”

“…A zT of ~ 2.2 at 915 K was obtained in p-type PbTe-SrTe (4 mol%) doped with 2 mol% Na. 11 It has been proven that forming solid solutions is one of the most effective and practical ways to improve zT values in many TE materials such as Mg 2 Si 1-z Sn z 16,17 , Sn 1-x Mn x Te 6,18,19 , and PbTe based materials 5,10,20,21,22 . When solid solutions are formed, two significant effects can be expected, i.e.reducing lattice thermal conductivity and optimizing the electrical properties.…”

“…However, the toxicity associated with Pb causes severe threat to the environment and needs to be alternated for domestic usage . Hence, as its analog, tin telluride (SnTe) with the rock‐salt crystal structure has been inspired with great interests . Especially, SnTe is nontoxic, earth‐abundant, and environment friendly, which makes it a great alternative of PbTe in the real industry applications .…”
