Syntheses, structures, and magnetic properties of mixed-ligand complexes based on 3,6-bis(benzimidazol-1-yl)pyridazine

Abstract: Six new metal–organic coordination polymers were prepared by reactions of the corresponding metal salt with mixed organic ligands under solvothermal conditions. The compounds were structurally, magnetically and catalytically characterized.

“…In view of the complementary properties of NiMn LDH with poor electrical conductivity and N-CNTs with good electron transfer rate, the NiMn LDH/N-CNT nanocomposite was successfully prepared through Ni–N/Mn–N bonds and electrostatic force between the negatively charged N-CNTs and positively charged NiMn LDH (Figure. d). , Second, the CV technique was employed to verify the synergistic effect of NiMn LDH and N-CNTs, and the results are displayed in Figure e. Compared to the bare GCE (curve i), NiMn LDH (curve ii) and N-CNTs (curve iii) showed two trends due to different conductivity.…”

“…A few 2D MOFs have been reported to have ferromagnetic ordering and spin canting well below room temperatures. On the contrary, ferromagnetic behavior including ferromagnetic ordering, spin-canting, and spin-glass like behavior has been observed only in a few 2D MOFs. , A few reports discussed the presence of ferrimagnetism in 2D MOFs. …”

“…Antiferromagnets frequently exhibit such spin canting, where the spin carriers are linked by monoatomic bridges . Further, the most frequently encountered magnetic properties in 2D MOFs is the antiferromagnetic ordering, and this is dominated in the Cu(II) containing 2D MOFs. ,, Several Mn(II) and Co(II), , , ,− and a few Fe(II) and Ni(II) 2D MOFs with mostly containing (4,4) grid structures have also exhibit this antiferromagnetic ordering. , , …”
