Abstract

This study is concerned with the synthesis and characterization of 4-thiazolidinone derivatives )3a-3h(. These compounds were prepared by reacting mercaptoacetic acid with the appropriate Schiff bases (imines) by heating at 50-60 °C in chloroform with moderate yields (51-75 %).
