Synthesis and characterization of some new ruthenium (II) complexes as photosensitizers in dye-sensitized solar cells

Abstract

I S S N 2 3 2 1 -8 0 7 X V o l u m e 12 N u m b e r 5 J o u r n a l o f A d v a n c e s i n C h e m i s t r y Ferrioxalate complex enhanced the performance of some investigated cells. Therefore, a mechanism of this improvement has been postulated. Polyaniline as well as iodine doped polyaniline modified FTO electrode has been tested as promising counter electrodes.The efficiencies of the cells using iodine doped polyaniline is higher than that of polyaniline, which is assignable to the high conductivity of iodine.
