Synthesis, Characterization and Antibacterial Activity of Cuo Nanoparticles

Abstract: Objective: The present study was done to see the effect of biologically synthesized CuO-NPs (Copperoxide nanoparticles) on the growth of bacterial strains. Methods: Physico-chemical characterization of CuO-NPs was done by UV-Vis-spectrophotometer, XRD, FE-SEM, and EDS. The disc plate diffusion assay was used to evaluate the anti-bacterial effect of CuNPs. Results: This study has shown a promising anti-bacterial activity of biosynthesized CuO-NPs at different concentrations ranging from 10 to 100 µg… Show more

“…Strong and sharp peaks appeared at 2θ of 28° (112) for cubic CuO crystallites. There are also three weak peaks at 2θ of 32°, 35.5° and 38.6° which are assigned to the (110), (002) and (111) crystal planes (JCPDS Card 033-0480) [ 45 , 46 ]. The crystal structure of the Acell was completely destroyed, due to the existing peak at 25.8 which shows a good correlation of the copper with the Acell.…”

“…Copper oxide particles prepared by the bio reduction process were analyzed regarding their size and chemical composition [33,34]. The initial detection of CuO NPs creation was witnessed by the colour change visually Using a UV-VIS spectrometer, CuO NPs were examined by UV-Vis Spectroscopy from 200 to 800 nm (HITACHI-U2800) [35]. The functional group present in the Green synthesized CuO NPs was founded by FT-IR spectrometer [36].…”

“…While zinc oxide nanoparticles have been shown to be cytotoxic, [ 58 ] there are antibacterial benefits [ 60 ]. Specifically, zinc oxide is an effective, and promising antiviral agent against the H1N1 influenza virus [ 61 ].…”
